About Mud:

Mud, Maria Irene Fornes’ classic 1983 play, paints a desolate portrait of toxic affection and rural poverty. It follows Mae, a tenacious, illiterate young woman earnestly pursuing social mobility through education. Caught between Lloyd, her ill, resentful housemate, and Henry, a self-impressed neighbor-turned-lover, Mae struggles to pursue her personal goals while providing for the men who rely on her. Alternating between passion, cynicism and surprising humor, Mud relentlessly explores the cycle of economic oppression and the struggle of caring for one’s own.

Chronicle of a Death Foretold By Gabriel García Márquez

Directed by Jorge Alí Triana & María Cristina Fusté

In April 2018, for the seventh time in six years, Boundless Theatre will present our magnificent adaptation of Gabriel García Marquez’s great novel, Chronicle of a Death Foretold. This production is part of our educational performance program in Puerto Rico, which has served more than 30,000 students since its inception. As part of this program, teachers receive an educational guide to facilitate discussion of the play in their classrooms. If you are interested in future presentations of Chronicle of a Death Foretold, please write us at mcfuste@boundlesstheatre.org.
