El Barrio Raices 2020

El Barrio Raíces Summer Program is a four-week summer program that offers theater training to children between the ages of 8 and 12. The program is free of charge, including breakfast and lunch, and open to all residents of NYC. This year‘s program will focus on community empowerment and strengthening family traditions, encouraging students to explore their heritage through the performing arts. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about all disciplines of theater, including acting, dance, make-up, ensemble work, costumes, and sets. Our bilingual team of teaching artists will facilitate all classes.

Mainstage Production 2020

Boundless en Español

We are excited to expand our programming presenting a play in Spanish by a Latinx playwright. We will be announcing the selected play in the Spring. This program will give us the opportunity to expand our reach and to offer the Spanish speaking community another alternative to the rich theater Latinx offering in the city of New York.

Presentations will take place at the Julia de Burgos Performance and Arts Center located at East Harlem, August 20-30, 2020.

Chronicle of a Death Foretold By Gabriel García Márquez

About Chronicle of a Death Foretold:

In March of 2021, we celebrate the 10th season of Chronicle of a Death Foretold. Boundless Theatre will present our magnificent adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s great novel, Chronicle of a Death Foretold. This production is part of our educational performance program in Puerto Rico, which has served more than 55,000 students in the past nine years. Teachers will receive an educational guide to facilitate classroom discussion of the play. Boundless de Oro 2021

Boundless de Oro is a bilingual theatre arts workshop program, offered to NYC senior centers in collaboration with the Yolanda Laprea Foundation. During this six-week workshop, seniors are coached in acting, diction, movement, and playwriting. They develop skills in script analysis and character development, all while exercising their minds and bodies and creating dynamic new art. The program culminates in a collaborative final showcase developed during the program. This performance is free, and open to all friends, family and community members. Boundless de Oro will take place in May 2021.







Boundless Exposed 2021

Boundless Exposed is a workshop and mentoring opportunity for emerging theatre designers of color. During this program, participating designers have the opportunity to work alongside experienced mentors in shaping an installation-style design based on a short play. The workshop includes five collaborative design meetings over a three-week period, as well as a final two weeks of hands-on implementation and presentation. Designers will be selected through an application process, and participating designers will receive a $500 stipend upon conclusion of the program.
